Lockdown Learning Update
Lockdown Learning in Room 7 - A Guide for Parents
This is an outline of what is expected from students in Room 7 each day.
First of all every student should check their school emails for instructions, updates and extra activities, and then log into Google Classroom to access daily asssignments.
Each day I would expect students to complete a writing task, a reading task and a math task. Of course engaging in learning from home is completely optional and it is up to parents how much you expect your child to do.
There are also extra optional activities available. And if students need any additional school work, they can go back and complete previous set assignments as no student has completed all assignments set on google classroom.
I set tasks on Mathletics every one to two days and have assigned students a Fractions workbook to work through in google classroom. They may need some parental assistance with some of the tasks, as it gets more difficult as they work through the tasks.
We have a class account on Epic Reading , which has reading material for all levels. I have shared instructions on how to access this, on google classroom.
This is the link to the government site that provides Reading and Math resources for Year 4 . There are some great activities on this site.
I will be checking and answering emails during school hours, and am happy to chat via phonecall if you let me know you would like to.
I am enjoying engaging with the student using google classroom, and will set up a class catch up google meet for Wednesday. Students will receive a link to this via email on Wednesday morning.
