                               Photo: First day activity: Discovering ways in which we are all connected 

Welcome to 2022, students and whanau of Room 7! 

I am really looking forward to getting to know and working with you all this year. 

Here are some bits and bobs of information to get us underway. I will send a notice home via email within the next week or so, once we are more settled in and concrete routines are established. 

• Please send togs and towel every day, as we sometimes get an extra chance for a swim in the timetable
• Every student needs a wide brimmed hat
• The bike track will be open for use for classes from week 3, and our days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, so please make sure students have covered shoes on these days 
• Our Library day is Monday- Room 7 students are able to take out 3 books. I like them to leave one book at school for daily reading
• Student sharing days are Monday and Friday mornings. Students have the opportunity to share news, events or anything they like about their life. If they have photos to share, you can email these to me before school. 
• Thanks for purchasing stationery so promptly, please be aware that we share our pens, pencils etc in Room 7, rather than students keeping their own in pencil cases etc. Please talk to me about this if you have any questions or concerns.
